Council addresses golf course improvements

Plans to improve the Desert Canyon Golf Course highlighted issues the Mountain Home City Council addressed during a meeting May 22.

The council started the meeting with a presentation from Baer Design Group concerning the golf course's master plan, who introduced a plan to reduce the amount of irrigation and water consumption costs to maintain the grounds.

Currently, the golf course uses 164 million gallons of water per year. This comes from both the city water system and the irrigation district canals.
