Douglas M. "Doug" Landers, 67, of Kuna and formerly of Prairie, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at his home following an illness. A graveside service was held Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the Prairie Cemetery in Prairie, Idaho. Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Doug was born July 13, 1949, in Boise, the son of LeRoy and Elizabeth Landers. Doug adored his grand kids and was a very much loved grandpa. One of his favorite things to do was playing with "RC" toys with them.

Doug was a hard worker; he logged in his earlier years. Then had a job he loved and was well respected for — he was a top-of-the-line Cat skinner and an excellent heavy equipment operator. He worked for the Mountain Home Highway District for 25 years, grading roads from Anderson Dan and Cow Creek including the Prairie roads to the blacktop on Blacks Creek Road.

He loved the mountains, snowmobiling, hunting, horses and, of course, his dogs.

Doug was a good-hearted man. He was loved and will be missed so much by family and friends. So be at peace, and go rest high on that mountain with Jesus. We’ll be seeing you again.

Doug is survived by his wife, Sandy of Kuna; his children, Lee Landers, Shirlene Bowen, Craig Aldrich and Cindi Lieshman; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Joanne and her husband Leo Spence; Mike and his wife, Marilyn Landers; Pat and his wife, Connie Landers; Cristy Lee; and Sylvia Landers. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda Kessel.
