Clarence Wortham

Clarence Earl Wortham, 95, of Mountain Home, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at a local care center.

A viewing was held before the funeral service at noon on Wednesday, May 24, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1150 North 8th East St., in Mountain Home. Burial followed at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Clarence was born June 5, 1921, in Arkel, Mahaska County, Iowa, to Hugh and Dora (Butterfield) Wortham.

He married Annabelle Allain, on May 16, 1942, in Hill City, Aitkin County, Minn. They lived in Minnesota until they retired in 1983, when they moved to Mountain Home.

Clarence is survived by his daughter, Marie Grimmett and her husband, Wayne Grimmett of Mountain Home; his son, Robert, and his wife, Linda Grimmett Wortham, of Mountain Home; 14 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annabelle Allain Wortham; his daughters, Annamae Noble and Neena Johnsen; his two brothers, Hugh (Bobby)Wortham and Gene Wortham; and his sister, Pearl Wortham Wade.
