Traffic stop nets drug bust

Elmore County sheriff's deputies recovered various types of illegal narcotics following the May 17 drug bust on the interstate.

The Elmore County Sheriff's Department disrupted the transportation and trafficking of illegal drugs along the I-84 corridor following a traffic stop on the interstate May 17.

Deputy Mike Barclay made the traffic stop near milepost 73 around 1:30 a.m. in response to a speeding motorist.

Deputy Garrett Kinnan and his canine partner, Rosie, responded to the traffic stop with the dog alerting to the presence of drugs in the vehicle.
