School board given update on project-based learning

The results of an experimental year of project-based learning in a classroom at Hacker Middle School was the focus of discussion as the Mountain Home School Board met May 16.

Teachers Kristopher Wallaert and Brett Young, who taught the program, were joined by multiple parents, who urged the board to let both teachers continue this teaching method.

The school board will decide the fate of program before the start of the new academic year in August.
