It's not often, even in a small town, where three generations of health care providers have taken care of three generations of local residents. Mountain Home is in that fortunate situation.

Dr. Michael Koelsch carried on a tradition started by his father.

One of the additions to St. Luke's Clinic Elmore is Michelle Peherson, a Nurse Practitioner and the third generation of her family to provide medical care in the Mountain Home community. She is third in her line after her father Dr. Michael Koelsch and grandfather Dr. Malone Koelsch.

"The Koelsch's have always been really special," said retired nurse Connie Cruser, who worked with Dr. Malone Koelsch before moving to Dr. Richard Starkey's office. She was able to watch Pehrson and her siblings grow up from there. "It was exciting to find out Michelle was going into nursing and then became a nurse practitioner."
