Cooking up a winning recipe

Rich McMahon starts heating up a batch of bacon as he begins work on an herbal chicken dish as as he competes in a Dutch oven cooking contest, held Saturday at the Post 101 headquarters. Legion members came together to test their cooking skills by preparing several main dishes and desserts that were judged by local representatives. McMahon took overall honors for the best entree while Legion member Jimmy Gould won for best bread. Meanwhile, Jeff Hobbs was recognized for his dessert creation, which included gorilla bread.
