Electrical fire

Monday, May 1, 2017

Mountain Home firefighters Jared Hart and Chris Corbus cut the apron away from one of three areas beneath a family's home at 1735 Windemere Drive as crews sought to locate a source of a fire April 19. County and city emergency crews were called to the residence after the residents reported smelling smoke. The fire that started under the home was identified as an electrical fire, which began burning flooring insulation. The home's owner and her son were temporary moved to other housing and received assistance from the American Red Cross, Salvation Army as well as the fire department's "burnout fund."
