CTE program offers hands-on lessons to local students

Lindy Higgins, business information technology teacher at the high school, runs students through a hands-on lesson. Students moved from station to station around the classroom to complete small tasks, all of which led to the completion of a significantly larger project.

A state-wide effort to provide hands-on technical experience in a variety of careers continue to grow within the Mountain Home School District as part of its ongoing pursuit of Career and Technical Education, or CTE, programs.

Vocational and technical education has evolved to give students college credit in high school, similar to dual enrollment in academic classes.
