Coming soon: A new look

Starting April 1, the Mountain Home News web site will sport a very different look. Featuring a cleaner format, the stories and other information posted to the site at www.mountainhomenews.com will be easier to read for those who prefer to access the news from their mobile handheld devices.

The changeover will not affect people's user names to access the site and to comment on posted stories as well as the banter box and the political forum, which will move to the lower opinion section of the site. The newspaper staff reminds people to remain on topic when commenting through these three avenues.

The staff invites its readers to see this updated style starting late next week.

MHN to adjust policy on free submissions

Starting with its April 5 edition, the Mountain Home News will adjust its policy for those wanting to publish free announcements involving community events in Mountain Home and surrounding communities. News briefs involving these events will now appear the week of their scheduled date versus two weeks out on a space-available basis.

Event organizers are still invited to share their information with the newspaper two weeks before the day of the event, which will be published in the community calendar's "up and coming" section.

To meet publication deadlines, information on these events are due by noon Friday before the initial publication date. For more information, call the newspaper office at 587-3331.
