In honor of Dr. Seuss

Maurice Townsend reads " Yertle the Turtle and Other Stories" to children and their parents as they gathered at the Mountain Home Public Library on Thursday during a Dr. Seuss Read Across America event. In addition to listening to different stories written by the famed children's author, the event features a wacky craft time and a presentation of "Green Eggs and Ham."

Jack Lobdell listens as his mother, Stephanie, reads "The Cat In the Hat" as they participated in the evening's activities. The event was held in conjunction with the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel, who is better known by children as Dr. Seuss.
