Conrad Eugene Thomas Jr. of Hammett was born June 13, 1938, in Los Angeles and passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, of complications from Diabetes. He survived 30 years with Type II Diabetes, always with a positive outlook.

His positive outlook saw him through college at UCLA and a very successful flower business, which included a very large number of movie stars, TV celebrities, famous music groups and CBS, NBC and ABC affiliates. He met his wife, Jeremy, at UCLA, and they were married for 53 years.

Conrad and his wife bought properties and added Real Estate to his job description. They lived and raised a family for 23 years in Los Angeles.

They visited Idaho in 1989 and ended up buying a condo sight unseen in Sun Valley in 1989 and later moved and retired to Idaho permanently in January 1994.

Coming from LA, Conrad had to learn a whole new language when he and his wife bought a farm on the Snake River southeast of Mountain Home. In fact, he sold a wine collection to buy a tractor.

He developed a large organic vegetable garden with really wonderful tomatoes, which he loved to give to friends every season. He could make anything and had a great math mind -- didn't need a calculator.

Conrad is survived by his wife, Jeremy; son Doug Thomas; his daughter, Kathryn Barile; and granddaughters Brittany and Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents.
