Former WECRD board member Connie Clark

Citing threats of boycotts aimed at the company where she works, a member of the Western Elmore Recreation District board of directors resigned her position during a meeting Feb. 15.

In a letter to the remaining two board members Connie Clark wrote that she was "disappointed in the low depths that someone could go for revenge or whatever the case may be. If protecting my employer and colleagues from the backlash of a nasty minority means I have to step away, then I will."

Thanks Ms. Clark for taking on those duties. It is a shame that the minority consider it acceptable to threaten and bully others. My hope is that karma pays them back tenfold.

  • Should have stuck with it Connie, there aren't enough whiners in the town to cause a business much trouble. The minority squeals and the majority always gives in. Can't say I like the Rec District either but it's what we have, again, the majority voted. We as a country need to stop oiling the squeaky wheel.
