The Lady Tigers saw their post-season plans come to an end as they lost to the visiting Caldwell Cougars during the third round of the district playoffs Feb. 8.

Entering the post season as the fifth seed, Mountain Home faced fourth-seeded Skyview on Feb. 6. Following that win, the Lady Tigers took on Ridgevue, who had unseated the top-ranked Bishop Kelly Lady Knights the previous evening.

Mountain Home continued its winning ways in a 70-52 win against the Lady Warhawks, setting the stage for their battle against the Lady Cougars.

Kylie Meadows goes for two as the Lady Tigers faced the visiting Caldwell Cougars as this year's district tournament continued last week. Caldwell dominated the boards early on its way to a 70-52 win against Mountain Home.

The Lady Tigers were the first to post points on the scoreboard but found the competition fierce as Caldwell dominated the boards to finish the first quarter with a six-point lead.

The Lady Tigers continued to struggle to narrow that deficit through the remaining three quarters as they lost to Caldwell, 47-66.

"Although this ends their season, the players and their coaches should be congratulated on the tremendous amount of hard work and effort they put into their season," said high school activities director John Clark. "We are proud of you and are looking forward to seeing you in action next season."

With the Lady Tigers out of contention for the state finals, Mountain Home High School continued to host the post-season tournament. On Thursday, Caldwell faced Skyview with the winner going on to state.
