School district grant aims to curb disciplinary issues

A partnership between the Mountain Home School District and Department of Defense Education Activity led to a $1.5 million grant aimed at reducing disciplinary incidents among students in local area schools.

Spanning a five-year period, the program also focuses on social-emotional skills by providing teachers with professional development training through a program known as Social and Emotional Learning Skills.
