Leaping lizards! It's Dinomania!

Monday, February 13, 2017

Rick Ballard uses a forklift to hoist Stanley the Dinosaur into place as Bob Kipp positions the prehistoric statue into place near the main entrance of the Mountain Home Public Library early Friday as part of a program launched last week by the city parks and recreation department. In an effort to help people become more familiar with the various programs the parks and recreation department offers throughout the year, crews will move Stanley to different parks and other city landmarks on a regular basis with people invited to snap "selfies" with him at each location. Those who share their selfies on parks and recreation's social media sites can qualify for weekly drawings featuring prizes ranging from gym memberships and fitness punch cards to T-shirts and grab bags. Clues regarding Stanley's current whereabouts are available online at www.pr.mountain-home.us, on Facebook at City of Mountain Home Parks & Recreation and on Instagram at mtnhomeparksandrec.
