WECRD moving forward with public projects

Plans to build an all-inclusive playground area at Carl Miller Park and a project to replace an announcers' booth at Optimist Park moved forward as the members of the Western Elmore County Recreation District board met during a special hearing Jan. 25.

In a unanimous decision, the board agreed to submit a letter of commitment to City of Mountain Home grant writer Susie Colthorp for a grant application aimed at funding the playground project.
