Tandyn Riley, Raymond Sheets, David DeVore and Dallas Gentry in Lisa Stover-Russell's first grade classroom at East Elementary School work on a language arts assignment as classes resumed Jan. 4 following a two-hour delay attributed to a winter snow storm. Students across the district returned to their classrooms that morning to mark the beginning of the second semester of the academic year. Drivers in the community are reminded to be extra vigilant and to watch out for students walking to and from school.
