WECRD again tops list of year's major stories

Continuing unrest regarding the Western Elmore County Recreation District that led to a failed recall effort against two board members and threats of an injunction topped the list of stories making headlines in the Mountain Home News over the past 12 months.

The newspaper's editorial board overwhelmingly agreed that the level of controversy involving the local taxing district gained the most attention by readers in the Mountain Home community.
