B-ball team captures title

Coaches Vince Brooks and John Jackson pose for a group photo with members of Mountain Home's Amateur Athletic Union basketball team. The sixth graders went 10-0 during the regular season and posted three more wins to earn the West Division title.

Sixth graders with Mountain Home's boys team went undefeated during regular season action and posted three more wins on their way to earning the Amateur Athletic Union's West Division and tournament championship titles.

The team finished the regular season 10-0, earning the top seed at the season-ending division tournament. Mountain Home won both of its quarter and semifinal games, beating Rocky Mountain White and Mountain View White.

In the finals, they played second-seed Nampa Christian. The game went back and forth until the Tigers went on an 8-0 run late in the fourth quarter to finish off Nampa, 47-41.

Tigers point guard Nick Fulbright led the Tigers with 22 points. Coached by Vince Brooks and John Jackson, the team has maintained an 26-1 record over the past two years.
