Santa and the Cinema

Youngsters meet with Santa Claus as he stopped by Take One Cinema on Saturday during the Third Annual Santa and the Cinema event on Saturday. Hosted by the city parks and recreation department, Mountain Home Elks Lodge and the local theater, the event centered on old-fashioned family values and true holiday spirit, according to project chair Cristena Ford. "This year, it was the largest it has ever been. One of the community premier events, over 700 people watched movies, and approximately 100 additional came just for Santa," Ford said. Families of walks of life came out to catch one of several films aired that day as they enjoyed this free holiday gathering.
