Celebrating the start of the season

Vehicles with the Mountain Home Fire Department rolls down American Legion Boulevard as local residents gather along the street during the Christmas Parade of Lights event on Friday. Hundreds of people braved the evening's chilly weather to enjoy the procession of parade floats and vehicles decked out in holiday lights.

Addison Lamb joins Mayor Rich Sykes as they light the mayoral tree in Carl Miller Park following this year's parade. In addition to the tree, the park remains illuminated with dozens of individual trees that were sponsored by local businesses.
After riding in the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus paid a stop at the community park, where they were greeted by dozens of children, many of whom revealed their Christmas wish lists.
