Letters to Santa wraps up Dec. 14

Scott Stirewalt helps his grandson, Carter Kaskeca, drop off a letter in the Santa's Mailbox on Friday. Carter and his younger sister, Alicia, stopped at the Mountain Home News office to drop off their wish lists, which are collected by Santa's elves at the Mountain Home Fire Department.

Santa is now collecting letters written to him by local children.

Fire Chief Mark Moore, designated by Santa to be his head elf locally for helping answer mail to the North Pole, is checking the Santa's Mailbox set up outside of the Mountain Home News office every day now.
