Airmen cookie drive begins

Airmen's cookie drive organizers hope to collect more than 500 dozen homemade cookies as part of this year's effort to bring some holiday cheer to airmen stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base.

Officials at Mountain Home Air Force Base launched a yearly effort to provide a "taste of home" for those stationed at the base.

The base's annual holiday cookie drive seeks to collect more than 6,000 fresh-baked cookies -- 500 dozen -- for young airmen living in the dormitories on the installation.
