The Lady Tigers traveled to Caldwell on Sept. 6 where they shut out the Lady Cougars in three sets, 30-28, 25-18 and 25-21.

Sable Lohmeier led Mountain Home with 13 kills and two aces while Jazzi Cristobal was credited with 18 assists, seven aces, and four kills.

Meanwhile, Rebekah Austin finished the evening with five kills with Jordyn Funk adding four more for the Lady Tigers.

"Although we played a little flat tonight, we pulled out a win," said Lady Tigers coach Jill Peterson. "We worked to stay consistent and reduce our errors."

At the same time, the coach was impressed with the team's aggressiveness on third hits as well as its serves and battles during those first sets.

"Our serve errors were too high, so we'll look at serving smarter next game," Peterson said.

The Lady Tigers return home as they face Emmett at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15 in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium. They then take to the road on Saturday to compete in the Jerome Tournament before facing Middleton High School on Tuesday.
