Police stress parade safety

During this year's Air Force Appreciation Day parade on Saturday, city police officials outlined some safety tips to keep parade goers safe.

Each float in a parade must have safety as its top priority, "due to some instances in the past involving children and floats during the parade," said Police Cpl. Stan Winings, community affairs officer with the city police department.
