Police temporarily limit presence in local bars

Threats of a pending lawsuit against the city prompted Mayor Rich Sykes to look at ways law enforcement could reduce its presence in local bars.

Raymond Bartowski, owner of the Stockyard Bar in the city's downtown area, threatened to file the suit after claiming that the presence of officers in his bar was significantly affecting his business, according to the mayor.
