Lady Tigers crush Minico in 12-0 rout

The Lady Tigers varsity soccer team dominated the field with 12 goals as they shut out Minico Lady Spartans in their season opener on Saturday.

Violet Martinez led the Lady Tigers with four goals with junior Gisselle Raddetz putting away three more, all in the second half.

Jacey Carr and Jordan Page added two apiece with sophomore Mckenzie Sloan scoring one in her varsity game debut. Mountain Home's goal keeper and solid defense remained solid, holding Minico to no shots on goal.

The Lady Tigers started the season with seven returning seniors on the varsity squad. Senior starters include Carr, Martinez and Page along with Anna Pedroza, Elizabeth Ryan, Nicole Milford and Tayde Rodriguez.

In other action that day, Mountain Home's junior varsity team saw a prime start in its 12-1 win over Minico. The JV team started off scoring three goals in the first five minutes.

Those scoring goals for the junior varsity team were Nina Courterier, Tammy Oltnam, Kaitlyn Francisco, Skylar Healy, Jaden Bennett, and Jazmin Vergava.

Mountain Home had its conference opener at Caldwell on Tuesday. The team hosts Middleton in its first home game of the season.
