Friends of NRA group schedules yearly event

Elmore County Friends of the National Rifle Association will hold its sixth annual banquet and fundraiser Aug. 20.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. that evening at the Mountain Home Elks Lodge, 325 South 3rd West St., in Mountain Home.

"There is something for everyone at a Friends of NRA banquet," said Mike Mixon, a spokesman with the Elmore County Friends of NRA chapter. "From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is brimming with excitement. Whether you're keeping an eye on that unique item in the silent auction, trying your luck at the game tables or just dining on some delicious food, you'll be sure to have a good time."
