Local woman tests positive for West Nile Virus

An Elmore County woman has tested positive for West Nile virus, becoming the first person in the state to contract the disease this year.

According to a press statement released by the Central District Health Department on Friday, the woman, who was reported to be in her 30s, is at home recovering from the virus.
