Pooch pool party planned

The canine pool party is an annual event at the pool complex in Richard Aguirre Park. It officially marks the end of the community pool's summer swimming season.

As the year's pool season winds down, the city's parks and recreation department will host its annual pool party for pooches from noon to 2 p.m. Aug. 14.

Held at the city pool complex at 990 McKenna Dr., the cost is $5 per animal with a limit of two dogs per owner.
