Jason Aldean rocks the foothills northeast of Mountain Home as he headlined the list of country music superstars that performed Sunday.

The music reached a thunderous pitch as thousands of fans took to their feet. Many of them had waited three days for this moment as they welcomed country music superstar Jason Aldean.

His concert that evening culminated a weekend filled with some of country music's biggest stars, who performed in the foothills northeast of Mountain Home during one of southern Idaho's largest country music events.

An estimated crowd of more than 14,000 country music fans from communities across the United States came together during the Mountain Home Country Music Festival, which marked its second anniversary this past weekend.

Thousands of country music fans pack together in front of the stage as Jason Aldean prepared to perform Sunday evening. Organizers of the Mountain Home Country Music Festival said this year's event exceeded last year's attendance figures with more than 14,800 people attending Saturday's venue with even more coming to watch Aldean's concert.
