The alternative energy project includes building a new reservoir that would pump water from Anderson Reservoir up a 800-foot cliff into a 50-foot deep pond that would feed the hydroelectric facility. A public hearing regarding plans to build a large scale alternative energy complex on the bluffs above Anderson Ranch Reservoir in the an area commonly referred to as Little Camas Prairie was held June 15.

More than 100 people attended the meeting with some providing testimony about the project, which is expected to include solar, wind and hydro-electric power generating capabilities.
