Flaviano "Fian" Silva, 89 years young, left us on Friday, May 27, 2016. At his request, a grave side service was held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Mountain View Cemetery surrounded by family, friends and loved ones.

Dad was born Dec. 22, 1926, to Atanacio Silva and Maria Futnosa Garcia in San Luis Potosil, Mexico. At a young age, Dad came to America and settled in Texas, where he met and married the love of his life, Elisia Moreno.

There, he did harvest work of all kinds. He even tried out his sea legs on a shrimp boat.

Dad and Mom emigrated from Texas to Idaho, always following the work. As the family grew, they made the decision to settle and raise their family in Mountain Home.

Dad continued to do harvest and worked for the Corder's for many years. Dad was the hardest worker ever as his grandkids would always say. Dad enjoyed his retirement, doing what he loved most, spending time with his grandchildren and doing what they wanted to do.

They would often take trips to the river and fish, the kids always coming back with a wild story about grandpa. Dad always enjoyed the grandkids, fishing and lazy sunny afternoons under his favorite tree.

Dad is survived by his beautiful bride of 63 years, Elisia Silva, his sons Horacio Silva, Joel (Sylvia) Silva, Rafael Silva and Luciano (Elia) Silva, and his daughter-in-law, Alicia Silva, many grandkids and great grandkids.

Dad will always be remembered and missed by all those that were lucky enough to meet him and spend hours talking to him.

We the family would like to thank Rost Funeral Home, Maria Masuca at IUI, Bobbie Spencer and everyone at St. Luke's Elmore, especially Nurses Teresa and Kim.
