Final count: Local voters turned tide on incumbents

Voters in Elmore County turned the tide against two incumbent state lawmakers, who fell to their challengers, according to final results from last week's primary election.

Turnout for the election was heavier than normal with more than 38 percent of the county's registered voters headed to the polls to cast their ballots, said county elections officers Vivian Garcia.
