Juanita M. Walton, age 94 of Mountain Home, passed away at St. Luke's Elmore Hospital on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Per her request, no services will be held. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Juanita was born on Nov. 3, 1921, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Anna Cheely.

Her home became the gathering place for family and friends with an abundant of laughter and good food since she was a gourmet cook.

She was a friend to many. As everyone knew, she was a very active woman, involved in many activities, especially shopping and taking care of her cats. She had many hobbies. Some were fishing, hiking, camping, travel and basically loving life to the max. Her motto always was to, "Live your life and forget your age."

Juanita is survived by her daughters Nannette Walton of California, De Etta Missick of Washington and Katherine (Bill) Nelson of Illinois; her sister, Shirley Carlson of Iowa; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister and grandson Quintin.
