Award-winning team

Members of the High Hopes Special Olympics team pose for a group photo with local program coordinator Jan Aslin and track and field head coach Tom Rodney as well as the team's assistant coaches following their appearance at this year's regional meet, held Saturday in Caldwell. The Mountain Home competitors fared well during the event with many of them finishing in the top three in their respective events. Meanwhile, competitors Sam and Dan Aslin made their first appearance at a Special Olympics aquatics meet with both of them coming away with three first place, two second place and one fourth place awards. The team is currently gearing up for the state finals, scheduled for June in Twin Falls.
