Eight qualify for state tournament

Sophomore Walker Harris leads the pack in the 800-meter, crossing the finish line at 2 minutes, 5 seconds, to earn a seat in this year's state track and field meet.

Eight students will represent Mountain Home High School after they qualified for this year's state track and field tournament.

Keyondra White leads the Tigers after qualifying in four events. She heads to state to compete in the 100- and 200-meter races as well as the long jump and triple jump.

Meanwhile, Sable Lohmeier and Rachel Johnson qualified in two events each. Lohmeier will face off against the state's top athletes in the shot put and discus while Johnson competes in the high jump and 300-meter intermediate hurdles.

Jaden Wright and David Parrett will represent Mountain Home in the pole vault. Other state qualifiers were Walker Harris in the 800-meter, Julianne Mori in the high jump, Anthony Desantis in the 3,200-meter and Brad Keierleber in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles.
