Several local residents are spearheading an effort to recall two Western Elmore County Recreation District directors.

A recall petition was submitted to the Elmore County Clerk on April 18 with that document approved "as to form" by county officials April 26.

    Sourgrapes is all this is in my opinion. Those that signed the petition expect the current board to repair the damage the past board did over the last 15 years. They are also holding the current board to a higher standard than they held the past board to. There was no outrage when the past board donated money for the track at the high school or the walking path but now the same people that approved that are outraged about the same thing going on.
