Lady Tigers continue to struggle during trio of losses

Their search for needed wins this season continued to remain elusive as the Lady Tigers faced three tough opponents last week.

Mountain Home 1, Caldwell 12

During their rematch against Mountain Home, the Lady Cougars racked up six runs in the first and added four more in the second as they rolled past the Lady Tigers in a lopsided 12-1 victory April 15.

Mountain Home's lone hit came at the top of the fifth after Caldwell put away its two remaining runs in the fourth. However, three errors cost the Lady Tigers the chance to narrow the score.

Ashten Harrigan led the night for the Lady Tigers with one strikeout and 15 first-strike pitches after four innings of play. Shayla Reed picked up a walk for the Lady Tigers.

Mountain Home 2, Wood River 19

Paris Mederios had a big day at the plate, but seven errors cost the Lady Tigers dearly as they were outgunned by Wood River in a 19-2 contest April 18.

The Lady Wolverines launched a five-run assault in the bottom of the first and unloaded 14 more in the following two to wrap up the game after three innings.

Mederios led the Lady Tigers with two hits with Mountain Home scoring its two runs in the bottom of the third.

Harrigan continued to lead at the mound with three strikeouts for the Lady Tigers, including nine first-strike pitches in two innings of play. Mederios added another first-strike pitch for Mountain Home.

Mountain Home 5, Skyview 25

The Lady Tigers led by two runs in the first inning, but Skyview retaliated with 16 in the top of the second on their way to a 25-5 win April 19.

Mountain Home finished the evening with two more runs in the bottom of the third. However, errors continued to haunt the Mountain Home softball team, who accumulated seven during the three innings of play.

Ryan Floyd led the Tigers on offense with two hits. Harrigan had seven first-strike pitches during one inning of play with Jaden Lancaster spending the remaining two innings on the mound.
