Plans take shape for city's summer road repair projects

During last week's city council meeting, Mayor Rich Sykes said he would like a section of the city's street near Richard Aguirre Park, which floods every times it downpours. The flooding has caused the asphalt to deteriorate significantly in the last few years. Puddles in the street at the 400 block of East 10 North Street are still visible in the photo taken about 12 hours after a relatively light rain event April 13.

Fees at the city's outdoor pool are expected to increase with plans taking shape to repair and maintain selected streets following a city council meeting April 12.
