City officials and representatives from St. Luke's Elmore Medical Center and the local chamber of commerce join together as a ribbon is cut to mark the opening of a new speciality clinic next to the hospital on March 9. The clinic will allow the hospital to offer more specialized care for patients in the local area and is part of the medical center's ongoing expansion in the local area. Following the ceremony, about 40 people took a tour through the 9,600 square foot, 14 room facility. The modular building was moved piece by piece from its previous location in Fruitland, Idaho, and was refurbished before it opened here. According to Doreen M. Stocker, director of the St. Luke's Elmore development and foundation agency, the building came fully furnished and included an x-ray machine, computers and even the pictures on the walls.
