Incumbents to face challengers in May races

Elected officials at the local, state and federal levels will see a number of challengers running against them in coming months after the list of candidates grew leading up to Friday's filing deadline.

People will go to the polls during the county's primary elections May 17 to narrow down a list of candidates running for various local, state and federal offices based on their political affiliation.
