City fire department donates engine to Bruneau

The Mountain Home Fire Department handed over the keys, registration and title to a 1993 fire engine to Bruneau Fire Chief Stacy Buckingham during a meeting at the city fire station.

During the Jan. 7 fire engine transfer ceremony, Mountain Home Fire Chief Alan Bermensolo said the idea of donating the fire truck came from Chuck VanMeer, a lieutenant with the city fire department.

"We helped Grand View in the past, so it was only fitting Engine 12 goes to the Bruneau fire department," VanMeer said.
