Winter storm yields few accidents

Martha Hacker caught this image of frost clinging to tree limbs and other outdoor structures from her home on Northeast Mystic Saddle Road following last week's winter storm. The frost continued to blanket the local area earlier this week as nighttime temperatures dropped to single digits.

The first winter storm of the season yielded only a few accidents on the interstate and county highways last week.

Heavy snow from the storm on Nov. 25 was linked to two rollover crashes along with four reported slideoffs, according to Chief Deputy Mike Barclay from the Elmore County Sheriff's Department.
