Accident triggered blaze at Sunset Manor

A fire broke out in the corner apartment at Sunset Manor on Thursday with the flames and smoke then spreading through a shared attic space to the adjoining units.

An accidental kitchen fire was linked to a blaze that caused extensive damage to a four-unit apartment complex at Sunset Manor on Thursday.

Crews were dispatched to the assisted living center complex around 6:40 p.m. that day with the flames destroying three of the apartments with a four sustaining extensive smoke and water damage, said Capt. Mark Moore with the Mountain Home Fire Department.
