Teacher earns grant to bolster STEM lessons

Lisa Stover-Russell, who teaches first grade at East Elementary School, received a grant through Idaho CapEd Foundation to support her in-class program with a focus on teaching science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM.

Looking to help her students improve their comprehension of science lessons, a first grade teacher at East Elementary School gained some new tools through a grant she earned last month.

During a presentation at the school, Lisa Stover-Russell received $713 through the Idaho CapEd Foundation to support her in-class science program.
