Missing airman found

Monday, November 2, 2015

The body of an airman from Mountain Home Air Force Base was discovered on Sunday after he was listed as missing.

Master Sgt. Nathanial A. Kibodeaux, 38, left home for a daytime hunting trip early Saturday and was expected to return home around noon.

Elmore County Sheriff's deputies and members of the county search and rescue team were activated to search for Kibodeaux around 10:45 a.m. Sunday. His body was discovered along the Snake River near Grand View by two airmen from the base, who were friends of the hunter.

The sheriff's department and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations are working together in the investigation of his death. While the incident remains under investigation, foul play is not suspected.

Kibodeaux was assigned to the 366th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at the Air Force base.
