Samuel Stackle

Samuel O. Stackle, beloved husband, father, poppa and brother, passed away to be with our Lord on Oct. 15, 2015, at his home in Mountain Home. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at One Love Christian Church in Boise.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Sam was a veteran of the United States Army and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, go on horseback rides with his wife and make frequent shopping trips to Sportsman's Warehouse and Cabela's. Sam enjoyed spending time with his immediate family and loved to share stories about his life, family, and friends.

He was a hardworking, caring, loving and strong man with a soft soul, who fought hard throughout his life but loved even harder. His undeniable presence will be greatly missed.

Sam is survived by his wife and best friend, Mary Stackle, son Scott (Kay-Cee) Stackle, daughter Shelly (Kedrick) Branch, grandchildren Samantha, SeLena and Coehen. brothers Gene (Gay) and Jerry Stackle and sisters Pat and Sally Stackle. Sam is also survived by multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife and close friend, Shirley A. Stackle, mother Eveline Tongate and father Gerald E. Stackle.
