Optimist squads compete

Three teams saw wins while others faced losses as Mountain Home Optimist Football's fall season finished its sixth week on Saturday.

Inventive Products of Mountain Home lost to South Blue Lonestar Nampa, 14-40, as the 12 year olds competed in the senior division.

Eleven year olds in the junior division saw a win as United Metals shut out East Maroon Nampa, 18-0. Meanwhile, Thrifty Auto Sales fell to RST Funding, 14-22.

Ten year old players in the sophomore division saw needed wins as Sunview Dairies edged the Little Broncos, 6-0, while the Fighting Irish of Mountain Home slipped past Horseshoe Bend, 16-14.

In freshman league action on Saturday, Tripl T Services of Mountain Home lost to East Maroon, 0-8. During Rookie league play that day, IWS Motor Coaches of Mountain Home fell to the Boise Fire Department, 8-34.

Flag football action on Saturday saw Taco John's of Mountain Home go up against Kids Kuna while Tech Assault Firearms took on Paul's Market of Kuna. Officials don't track scores from these youth flag football games.
